Best Christmas present ever!

Well, it’s that time of year again.

I’m a believer in counting my blessings. Here are just a few of the fabulous things in my life that I’m grateful for this year:

  • My favorite coffee mug (a gift from my boys)
  • Handwritten notes from my kids (I love you guys)
  • Cards from my husband for no reason (I’m your #1 fan, too)
  • Starbucks (those lovely people let me sit there for hours)
  • Aveda (best-smelling products ever)
  • The lazy river at the water park (I can hang out there all day)
  • My Kindle (wow, I discovered a bunch of new authors this year)
  • Getting a Jeep (awesome)
  • My novel, Small as a Mustard Seed, winning a silver medal for Literary Fiction by the Military Writers’ Society of America (yay)
  • 1 amazing husband, 2 amazing kids, a bunch of friends who have my back, & many exceptional people I’ve met online (best support system ever)

If you celebrate Thanksgiving, I wish you a happy one with lots of great food, family, friends, & fun. If you need to find something to do with all that leftover turkey, here’s a fabulous stew recipe.

What are you thankful for this year? Please feel free to share your thoughts & experiences in the comment box below.

You do have a blessed life – it’s wonderful. I LOVE the mug!

    • Hi lovely Sandy! *waves*

I am blessed. I remind myself of that every morning. That’s my favorite mug, makes me laugh every time I see it. Cheers, darlin. *heart* (I still haven’t figured out how to get that to work)

  3. What a wonderful list! I didn’t know you were a Jeeper, as well! I got my old jalopy Jeep, Betty, back in January. She’s almost one year old at her new home. We need to get out and 4WD together … if not for the distance!

    Congrats on your fabulous award!

    • Hi lovely Melissa! *waves wildly*

Awww, thanks for the fab compliment & the good wishes. Made me smile. :) I LOVE my Jeep. I had one years ago & wrecked it & am thrilled to finally have another. I love, too, that you named your Jeep. Awesome! I’d love to go 4-wheeling; let me know if you’re ever nearby. Cheers, darlin.

  4. I only see a couple of super important things missing from your list, Shelli…bacon and brownies. :)

Good list. A lot of those same items are on mine. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

    • Ha, ha. True! I was thinking of making a super important gratitude food list, but it’d probably be over a hundred things (Pickles! Sprinkled cupcakes! Caramel Mocha Lattes! Cheeseburgers!). I had a great Thanksgiving. Hope you & yours did, too. :)
