Wow, can you believe that 2018 is nearly upon us?
The other day I was thinking about everything on my to-do list and how far I still had to go, and it occurred to me that I wasn’t giving myself any credit for how far I’ve already come. All the promises I made to myself that I fulfilled. All the things I finished that I told myself I would. All the challenges that could’ve derailed me that I overcame.
And I realized that many of us do that: get crazy busy, focus more on what needs doing that what’s already done, and don’t pause to celebrate all the successes and victories we’ve had.
So here’s my hope for you in the New Year …
That you’ll come to a stop at least once a day to relax and enjoy your life. And that during that time, you’ll take note of all the things you’ve accomplished (big or small, they all count) in your life. And that instead of looking at how far it is you have to go, you’ll take that time to look at how far you’ve already come. And then you’ll give yourself a much-deserved pat on the back and even a little something you really want as a prize for a job well-done.
And a note of gratitude …
I just want to let you know how grateful I am for all your support throughout the year. Writing can be a lonely business, and your emails and comments have been a source of inspiration for me to keep creating, and I thank you for that.
From me and mine to you and yours …
Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas (if you celebrate it) and a dazzling holiday season full of warm memories and lots of joy!
