Reader Challenge ~ Get Busy Doing

“First say to yourself what you would be; then do what you have to do.” ~Epictetus

Well, this one is gonna be a quick post because reaching your goals & moving forward in your life is all about doing rather than talking/reading/thinking about doing.

So . . . what I’d like to challenge you to do is this:

  1. Write down at least one goal (it can be career-related, financial, personal, spiritual, whatever) & post it where you can see it every day.
  2. DO one thing right now & every day for the next week that will get you closer to achieving that goal.

Since we’re all in this together, please leave a comment in the box below with what you commit to doing (like a promise to yourself) & let’s see how much closer we can all get to our goals. 🙂

Good luck & have fun!

  1. So, I’ll go first.

Every day this week, I’ll read/edit/rewrite my current manuscript draft for as long as it takes so that it’s finished by Sunday & ready to go in the mail to my beta readers by next Monday. (Yes, Kathy, you can hold me to that!)

  2. Hi Shelli, this is a perfect day for such a challenge!
NaNoWriMo starts in 2 days, 15hrs. I’ve accepted the challenge this year to write 50K words during the month of November.
Over the next 2 days, I’ll be refining my character profiles and putting together a rough plot.
After that I’ll let the characters tell their stories.
So good to hear you are off and running on your next writing project!
Cheers, *Waves*, and Best wishes Shelli! 🙂

    Hi Shelli (hugs)

Well, this will be my first year participating in the NaNoWriMo event. I’ve been preparing my outline, researching and jotting down notes. Can’t wait – what a rush it would be to finish a first rough (gritty) draft in 30 days.
Thanks for the inspirational post – looking forward to more of your work. You rock lady!

    • Hi Sandy! *hugs* back. Awesome! Nothing like having a rough draft in 30 days. That’s what fabulous: that you’ll have something to edit. You rock, too. Cheers, darlin.

    Hi Shelli!

After a year of being an eBook, Rose’s Will is finally going to print. The publisher sent me the proof copy and my goal is to go through it one final time and check for errors. I’ve been putting it off but no more. I start today! Thanks.
