Easy All-Natural Weight Loss: The Smart Way to Lose Weight During High-Stress Times

So if you gained some weight during the COVID-19 Quarantine (or any other reason) and you just don’t feel comfortable in your body, here are some simple, easy steps to take to get that weight back off.

Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for three seconds, then let it out your mouth slowly to a count of 4-6. It’s important that you breathe slowly because that activates your parasympathetic nervous system, which is what calms you down and brings your body back to a more normal state. Stress and anxiety actually produce biochemicals like cortisol that make it harder for you to listen to your body cues, think clearly, and also lose weight. It will really help you if you have your body working with you and not against you. Repeat that slow breathing often.

2. For easy all-natural weight loss, know you’re not alone

In an earlier post, I talked about gaining 10 pounds. So it’s not the first time I’ve gained some weight then lost it again. It won’t be the last. My weight fluctuates and that’s okay. Your weight will likely fluctuate too. It’s not a big deal, truly it isn’t. Gaining weight is only a crisis if you believe it is.

3. For easy all-natural weight loss, pick a weight range

I have a range of 128-140 pounds that I like to stay in because that’s where I feel comfortable. When I get out of that range, well, that’s when I start taking a much closer look at what I’m doing in my life that’s causing me to gain weight. You will do yourself such a favor if instead of picking a single number that you have to hit and maintain, you pick a range where you feel comfortable in your body then strive to stay within that.

 

 

4. For easy all-natural weight loss, start again right where you are

Don’t go wishing you could go back in time before you gained the weight. Don’t go wishing you could be in the future where the weight was already off. Stay in the present moment because right now is the only time you can change anything. Learn what you can from the mistakes you made with food. Then start again from a wiser perspective.

5. For easy all-natural weight loss, just pay attention to your body again

So just wait for your body to give you cues. It will, but you have to pay attention and listen. Your body will give you hunger cues to tell you that you’re actually physiologically hungry. You’ll also get cues when you’re comfortably full. All you have to do is wait for hunger, eat whatever it is your body is craving, then stop when you’re comfortably full.

6. For easy all-natural weight loss, know the weight will come back off

You don’t have to worry; the weight will come back off. Like I said before, stress and anxiety actually produce biochemicals like cortisol that make it harder for you to lose weight. So don’t beat yourself up for gaining weight or stress yourself out or be obsessed with how much you gained or how much you need to lose. Don’t do things that raise your anxiety levels.

Just take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for three seconds, then let it out slowly through your mouth like we already talked about. Tell yourself that it’s all gonna be okay because it will. Then just listen to your body cues. If you do that, the weight will come back off. Yes, it will. I know that because I’ve lost 5 of the 10 pounds I gained simply by doing just what I’m telling you to do. The other 5 will come back off. I know that without a doubt. It has for me, it will for you. It’s just a matter of some time and some patience.
