Intuition definition when it comes to eating: I use my intuition to eat. That’s how I lost over 160 pounds naturally. That’s how I’ve maintained that loss for 9 years and counting.
Eating by using your intuition is about trusting yourself as you make the choices that are best for you. It’s about listening to your body and letting it be your guide. It’s about acting upon what your body is telling you.
So you might be wondering about the definition of intuition?
Well, your intuition, which I also call your voice of wisdom, is the kind one that speaks strength to you, that encourages you and builds you up. It’s the one that does its best to help you grow. Your intuition will never berate you or tear you down.
Your intuition, when it comes to your body, is a feeling that guides you. You’ll have comfort and ease if you’re making choices that serve your best interests. Or you’ll have restlessness and unease if you’re making choices that don’t serve you.
Just remember this though: your intuition is of no use to you if you won’t listen to it and do what it says.

So you might be wondering how to listen for your intuition and act on what it says. Here’s what works best for me.
Intuition Definition Step One:
Calm down. Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it briefly, then let it out slowly through your mouth.
Intuition Definition Step Two:
Listen for that voice inside your mind nudging you. It’s usually the quieter one in the mix of voices trying to get your attention. It’s also the one that feels true and empowering to you, moving you in the direction you want and/or need to go.
When it comes to your body, your intuition will likely show up as a feeling, either a kind of shrinking away from things that aren’t good for you or a feeling of expanding into things that will serve you well. It’s not an exact science but you’ll get the hang of hearing your intuition the more you practice it.
Intuition Definition Step Three:
Make choices based on your intuition. You will do yourself such a kindness if you’ll make the choices your intuition is telling you to make. Sometimes that’s a leap toward what you need to have/be/do/say. More often than not, though, it’s just a step. So you take that one step, as small as it needs to be so as not to scare yourself.
Intuition Definition Step Four:
Trust yourself. You’ve lived with yourself all these years; you know yourself better than anyone else. You will recognize your own intuition when you hear it or feel it. The more you practice listening for your intuition, the easier recognizing it will become.
Intuition Definition Step Five:
Repeat. Take a deep breath. Pay attention to your own mind and body. Take either a leap or a step. Trust yourself. Do that over and over again.
Intuition Definition Step Six:
Grow your self-trust. To build trust with yourself, you need to act upon your intuition even if it scares you to do what it says. Every time you listen to your intuition and do what it says, you’ll grow your self-trust even more.
Intuition Definition Step Seven:
Listen to your intuition every time. Self-trust is what you need to succeed at weight loss and pretty much anything else too. To trust yourself implicitly, you need to listen to your intuition and do what it says every single time. Yes, every single time.

My weight loss transformation & how it can help you lose weight by eating intuitively
You absolutely can break the diet cycle. I got free. Your life can be that way too.
I made my own path because I needed to get myself out of the crazy-making behavior I was having around food. I needed:
- no more dieting.
- no more restrictive eating.
- no weighing and measuring food.
- no off-limit foods.
- no more judgment around food.
- no more trying to figure out healthy eating or just what healthy foods to eat.
- no more judging my self-worth based on the scale.
- no more you’re-not-doing-it-perfectly diet rules that were only fueling my constant thinking about and obsession with food.
I needed to stop: searching for weight loss tips, wondering how to lose belly fat fast or how to lose weight fast, worrying about how to eat healthy or finding healthy snacks for weight loss, coming up with yet another healthy eating plan, trying to have quick weight loss, or forcing myself onto yet another weight loss diet. What I needed instead was to find, out of all the weight loss programs out there, the best weight loss program for me. Turns out, the best way to lose weight was to find out what works for me and do that.
- I’ve lost 160+ pounds naturally by simply trusting myself and listening to my intuition (mindful eating and eating intuitively).
- I have maintained that weight loss for 9 years and counting by trusting myself and listening to my intuition (mindful eating and intuitive eating).
- I no longer have any eating disorders, including bulimia (bulimia nervosa) and binge eating disorder (compulsive overeating).
- I no longer have a fear of food.
Just imagine what you could be doing with your life if you’d just commit to having your own before and after weight loss success story. You could be: following your own dreams and reaching your own goals, cultivating your own passions, and making both your inner and outer worlds a more blissful and peaceful place.
I got that for my life. I want it for yours. I will teach you how.
